Resistance bands, tubes and loops are a simple and cheap method of exercising. In principle this is just a type of material that can be stretched. Depending on the type of material and the density of material, they will offer various levels of resistance. Now if you attach a resistance band to a fixed point and then hold the other end in your hand and bend your elbow, you work those muscles harder. When you do that then you build up muscle. Do Resistance Bands Snap or Break?

Generally speaking and for normal use they will not break. Like anything though if they are not used for the purpose intended then they can snap and break. Fr example if you tried to use them to tow a car then the chances are they will break. (I haven't tried that though) The other thing to keep in mind is that they will weaken as they age or if they are left in cold conditions.

So in most cases they will last for a very long time. If they are used properly and for the general purpose of fitness, then they will not break and are perfectly safe to use.
